Exercise, what's that?

This week I will hit 6 weeks postpartum, which is apparently the magic number when it is ok to start an exercise routine and marital relations. Good timing, since it's our 3 year anniversary this week. Ha!

Not that caring for a baby isn't exercise itself, we've been taking about 4 walks per week and carrying around ten extra pounds everywhere is building my arms a little. I would like to start adding in weights for my arms and core strengthening, since I am Flabby McFlabsters. One postpartum yoga session would also be awesome. I'm not up for any cardio just yet, but when I am, I would like to do a video like boxing or dancing, something fun before I start running again.

My starting weight when I got pregnant was around 212. I gained up to 238. I am now at 208, just weighed myself today. I would like to thank my friend Breast Feeding for this weight loss, since it burns 500 calories a day. I am trying to eat really well, especially to supply baby with the best nutrients. I had to cut out all dairy because of baby's intolerance, looks like I might be cutting out corn too, since it seems she is also sensitive to that. I did a test for it this weekend. Ugh! Oh well, it's just til she's 6 months old then I can try them again when her digestive track is more matured.

Here's to a great spring week and hoping I can get some aforementioned exercises in between feedings, napping, and dirty diapers......LOL
